The company behind Needle Bimmerle Private Distillery has been Certified organic in 2019 and has been wearing 2021 the certificate for climate neutrality of the German Institute for Sustainability and Economics.
NEEDLE also follows a clear principle in production. Energy is not simply consumed, but further thought. At the Black Forest site, a closed cycle is created in which existing resources are used consistently.
From Fruit kernels energy is generated. Regional wood chips supplement the process if necessary. Heat generated during distillation is not lost, but is stored and reused. This not only powers the distillation process, but also heats the entire building. Heat recovery system ensures that large quantities of water are saved every day.
At NEEDLE, sustainability is not only evident in production, but also beyond. By supporting selected climate protection projects, responsibility is taken further.
Among other things, the Bimmerle distillery supports the climate protection project "Revier Augustenhof" in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen and the Kasungu Boreholes project in Malawiwhich improves access to clean drinking water.
